i discovered that deep sea fishing makes me just a bit nauseous.
from about 20 minutes in until 1.5 hrs in, i was certain i would be leaning over the edge of the boat.
the deckhands reassured us all that there was nothing to be ashamed of if that were to happen...riiiggghhht.
luckily, after taking three dramamine, i was ready to take in the experience for all that it was.
my goal for the day: catch at least one fish.
i ended up having a little assistance in this area - the sweet man next to me knew how badly i wanted to feel that tug on my line.
he sheepishly handed his pole to me when he felt something and told me it was my turn.
do you see the excitement on my face?
maybe i should have left out the photo of me holding the fish...i could have really played up the size.
i admit, 'my' fish was probably the smallest one caught out of the 70 that piled into the boat that day.
apparently, i do not have the fishing touch.
in my defense, i did not fish during the entire trip...i was also helping dusty take photos and video...
and the commerical that came from our trip:
