mertle the turtle.

mertle the turtle.
the all-time consuming, current favorite past time of gray bias.
he asks dusty to play it basically 24/7.
he wakes up in the morning and the first words out of his mouth are asking if they can please play mertle the turtle (gray chose the spelling of mertle, he didn't like it being spelt myrtle).
mertle and his friends go to school in our kitchen while gray goes to school, they sleep on a pillow in the living room while we all sleep.
we watch a movie together and mertle and his friends join us in the bed.
i'm pretty sure mertle and his friends are on gray's mind at all times.

the game involves mertle and his 20 or so friends - the number of friends grows daily. dusty is the voice of mertle. gray is in charge of the friends.
they all go on many adventures and mertle is sure to teach life lessons along the way.
i must say it's very entertaining to listen to.
that mertle the turtle sure does make me smile on a regular basis while i'm listening to the interactions.
and judging by gray's facial expressions in these photos, he thinks mertle is pretty great too.

this most likely is a very boring post for everyone else, but it's a memory i wouldn't mind remembering :)
