Sawyer - one month!

One month already?!
Time sure does fly when you're happy and in love.
Seeing her change just a little bit each day sure is exciting - I'm convinced that she's starting to smile when I talk to her, but it could just be a coincidence.
I like to think otherwise :)

Papa and Grandma Sue come to visit!

My mom and dad were able to come right away and meet their newest grandchild!
She was less than a week old when they arrived.
It was wonderful to have them here and Sawyer loved it as well :)

Getting in lots of snuggle time...

Dusty smoked his famous ribs and wings for us one evening...
...and we played Farkle out on the deck - fun!

All four of us contributed in the staging of the above photo...looks good, right?
And notice who won? ;)
Dad threw the chips out there in case anyone was wondering.
Above photo - Dad's idea as well :)
Can't you just feel the love?
Ha!

Dad, Dusty & I snuck away for a bit while Mom spent time with Sawyer.
The Flora-Bama was a hit!
We went there three times - listened to music, watched Big Earl and attended their church service on Sunday.
Can't beat this view while having a drink.

Thank you again to Mom and Dad for making the trip - it was really special!

Gray and Sawyer meet.

Gray could not contain his excitement to meet his sister.
He was beaming - honestly, he could not stop smiling.
The first thing he wanted to do was play her her first song - he chose 'Hooked on a Feeling' and the two of them sat there and listened to it while he held her :)
Then he said, 'well, I've met my match! I have a three day old baby sister!'
It was all adorable.

When we got in the car to drive home, Gray pointed out that it was Sawyer's first car ride!
And he leaned over her car seat and smiled at her for most of the ride home (45 minutes).
Our first evening as a family of four was a movie night - obvious choice for us :)
So, Sawyer's first movie was Penguins of Madagascar (pointed out once again, by Gray).
Big day for little Miss Sawyer.

Sawyer made sure to have a gift ready for her big brother.
It consisted of the most comfortable sweatpants, candy, hot wheels cars, and baseball cards - just a few of Gray's favorite things as of now.
He was excited!
He said he suspected that I did the shopping and not Sawyer, but he thanked his little sister, nonetheless.
What a special day it was!

Sawyer is here!

Our sweet, baby girl has arrived!
Sawyer Christine Bias.
Goodness, do we love her.
She is the perfect addition to our family.

March 18th, 2015 - a day we'll remember forever.

SAWYER'S BABY SHOWER

While we were home for the holidays, Sawyer's aunties and Grandma threw us the best baby shower.
It was so wonderful and we are beyond thankful.
I have to admit, it was fun to have a special time set aside to celebrate baby girl :)

Chocolate fondue and fruit - I never realized my love for it until this day.
 The girl cousins!
We made onesies - this activity was fun!
Especially for the cousins...they went all out :)

Thank you again for organizing and putting on the shower - it really was special.
And thank you to everyone in attendance - I had such a nice time visiting with everyone!
