Oli

Ang wanted me to get a picture for Oliver's birthday invitation...I was flattered.  Oliver was not too excited about his photo shoot he was about to have...but he did give us about 10 minutes and this is what I got...oh yeah, and Oli's birthday is going to be at the YMCA - swimming and playing sports in the gym, which is why in the pics he is wearing swim trunks, floaties, and has his sporting gear.

 I'm 2...
but I'm going to be 3!

The above picture was the winner...and I think it sums up how excited he was about getting his picture taken...I feel your pain Oliver.
Oliver is so darn cute...it was great getting to spend time with you guys this past weekend...can't wait for Oliver's b-day party!

Girls' Night

Last weekend I was lucky enough to get to spend my Friday night with Andrea.  It was great to catch up ~ we had so much fun together...I love that I can always be myself around her.  Anyways, enough with that...here are a few pics from our night.

Millie & Oscar ♥ - I NEED a dog very soon.  Going to go with a Golden Retriever...in case you were wondering...and his name is going to be Otto.
After a few drinks, we thought it would be a great idea for Andrea to do a photoshoot with her snowmobile...

 She's badass...man, I her.
I cannot wait for our next girls' night...we always find a way to entertain ourselves :)

Movie Night :)

I was able to spend some wonderful quality time with Ayden, Abby, & Emery this weekend...and Amy & Ryan of course :)
Sunday night we had a movie night...and a bit of a photo shoot.

It looks like I need to expand on my funny faces
We even had glow sticks for our movie night...so great.
Abby & I agreed that I looked very scary in the above picture...and apparently she looked great :)
 Sweet Emery ♥

Had to get a picture with each of them...they are close up because I'm a little limited with the lens I have...Ayden told me I need to zoom out more..haha

Being silly...my butt looks big...I'm blaming it on the fact that my pants were saggy....
Following in their auntie's footsteps...ahhhh...love it.
Working it...I love how kids LOVE the camera.

Amy made us some popcorn per Ayden's request...
I had such a great time...thank you for having me & it will be happening more often :)

V-Day Weekend ♥

Happy Valentine's Day ~ I hope you are having a wonderful day.

Although I don't have a hot date tonight, I was lucky enough to get to spend the weekend with Dusty in Minneapolis.  We didn't do too much, but we had a really good time together.  We usually have big plans for taking lots of pictures, but we were really bad this weekend and hardly took any...but, I will share what we do have.

We ventured out to the Mall of America...and did not last long...the mall/shopping is not my favorite.

The above picture shows me starting to get irritated...a certain someone has to change 5 million settings before he can take a picture.
We had lunch at the Rainforest Cafe ~ for some reason, I get excited about this place...I love the atmosphere.
We sat next to a fish tank, so naturally we had to take pictures of the fish.
Oh, and I became a Priority Club member :)
It's free and all you have to do is provide your email address...anyways, what this meant for us was free fresh-baked cookies and a check-out time of 2:00 - I love late check-out times.

P.S.  Enchiladas, cupcakes, oyster crackers, & the other snacks were a hit ~ so much so that Dusty requested a workout plan that was sent to him today.

Chef/Baker Kassie

Big day tomorrow - driving to Minneapolis to spend the weekend with Dusty - soooo excited!

In order to save money on the trip, I decided I would make dinner for us at home and then we can heat it up in our hotel room.  I also made some snacks and bought things to make sandwiches, etc.  While I was at Wal-Mart, I overheard an older man say to a random older woman "remember when you could buy soup for 8 or 10 cents?!" and then they went on to discuss how expensive everything is these days...it made me smile, but then when I got to the checkout and saw my total, I thought "wow, they weren't kidding!"

I'm starting to wonder if this plan to bring our food may have backfired...we have been known to rock the $5 pizzas and 1/2 price appetizers at Applebees...which may have ended up being cheaper.

Anyways, I thought I should maybe document the process of me cooking, since it doesn't happen very often and my mom will be proud that I'm using the recipe box she bought me :)

Oh, and you should have seen me trying to find the ingredients on my list - it may have been my longest trip to Wal-Mart...although it was a nice change from only seeing frozen meals in my cart...I felt like such a grown-up :)

Check it out...actually using recipe cards...

Valentine cupcakes ♥

One of my favorite snacks....
Yummy enchiladas...I also made these for my roomie.

Possibly the most dishes I have ever used...

I had so much fun - I could really get used to this cooking thing.

Minneapolis Children's Hospital - Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald house was a wonderful place available to families at the Children's Hospital.  I took some pictures of all the things it had to offer.
The beautiful kitchen for families to cook meals.
The pantry was stocked with food for everyone to use.
Comfy couches to lounge on...
I loved this saying and graphic on the wall...the whole place was so comforting.

Fresh cookies up for grabs...

 Games and books for entertainment...

They even had exercise equipment and then computers...
I thought the Ronald McDonald house was so neat ~ how wonderful for all of the families and their visitors.
